AVB PRECIPRO (OPC) PRIVATE LIMITED Shipping Policy
Last updated: December 10, 2025
1. Introduction and Scope
This policy outlines the export logistics and delivery process managed by AVB GLOBAL EXIM™ (AVB PRECIPRO (OPC) PRIVATE LIMITED). As your AI-Assisted Technical Business Development and Global Trade Facilitator, our role is to oversee the logistics chain to ensure compliance and efficiency.
2. Production Lead Time vs. Transit Time
Because we deal in Industrial Machinery and Custom Components, clients must distinguish between:
Production Lead Time: The time required for the manufacturer to machine/produce the goods (defined in the Proforma Invoice).
Transit Time: The time taken by the Freight Forwarder/Carrier to deliver the goods after they leave the factory.
Note: All delivery dates provided are estimates based on current production schedules and shipping availability. We are not liable for production delays caused by raw material shortages or technical approvals.
3. Shipping Costs & Incoterms® 2020
All international transactions are governed by the specific Incoterms® 2020 agreed upon in the Commercial Contract. This defines who pays for freight and who holds the risk.
Ex-Works (EXW): The Client arranges shipping; our responsibility ends at the factory gate.
FOB (Free on Board): We handle clearance to the Indian Port; Client handles ocean/air freight.
CIF/CIP (Cost, Insurance & Freight): We arrange freight and insurance to the destination port; Client handles import clearance.
Shipping Costs: Calculated based on volumetric weight and destination. Any variation in freight rates between the Quote date and Ship date (due to fuel surcharges or war risks) may be passed to the Client with prior notice.
4. Duties, Taxes & Customs (Destination)
Client Responsibility: Unless strictly agreed as DDP (Delivered Duty Paid), the Client/Importer of Record is solely responsible for all Destination Customs Duties, VAT, Import Tariffs, and Port Handling charges in their country.
Documentation: AVB GLOBAL EXIM will provide a complete, compliant export documentation packet (Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, and Certificate of Origin) to ensure smooth clearance. We are not responsible for delays caused by Destination Customs inspections.
5. Packing, Insurance & Damages
Packing Standards: We contractually require our manufacturers to utilize Export-Standard Seaworthy Packing (e.g., fumigated pallets, rust-preventative oiling for machined parts) suitable for international transit.
Insurance:
If Incoterms are CIF/CIP, we procure marine cargo insurance on your behalf.
If Incoterms are FOB/EXW, the Client is strongly advised to purchase their own cargo insurance.
Damage Claims: In the unlikely event of damage:
Notify us within 48 hours of receipt with photographic evidence.
We will facilitate the insurance claim and dispute resolution with the Carrier and Manufacturer.
Liability: AVB GLOBAL EXIM acts as a coordinator. Final liability for transit damage rests with the Carrier or Insurance Provider, not with the Facilitator.
6. Order Tracking
Once the shipment is handed over to the Carrier, we will provide the Master Bill of Lading (MBL) or Airway Bill (AWB) number and a tracking link so you can monitor the shipment's progress in real-time.
